Tom Childerhouse

I have been an independent parish councillor for over 20 years. I believe strongly that the role of Parish councillor is about service to your community and not political allegiance. I was born in Weeting and have lived and worked in the village for the whole of my life. As a family we have been involved with many village organisations. I have a strong connection to our primary school. I attended the school as do my grandchildren and my wife was a teacher and governor there for many years. I believe that my business experience can be valuable in supporting the Parish Council and the aspirations of the village. In the last few years I have very much enjoyed the role of line manager to the village handyman and I am keen to see the continued enhancement of the appearance of the village. I am now semi-retired and have more time and opportunity to devote to the work of the Parish Council.
