Mike Nairn
I have lived and worked in South West Norfolk since 1975 when I was stationed at West Tofts with the RMP. I joined the Norfolk Constabulary in 1976 and was posted to Thetford and then in 1978 I moved to Weeting with my wife Sue and two children, Alex & Ben. I joined the Parish Council in the late 80’s but had to stand down due to work commitments. I retired from the Police in 2005 and was a trustee with the CAB in Brandon. I was elected to the Parish Council in 2010 and have been Chairman for a number of years and have helped on a number of projects such as the new play equipment, the exercise machines, bulb planting, litter picks, street lighting and the Christmas Tree. I am a Conservative but believe that I can best serve on Weeting Parish Council without any political affiliation or allegiance. I think we live in one of the best communities in Norfolk and I want to continue to work to enhance the village for the people for whom it is home.
