Carole Wilkins
I was born in Surrey but having been bombed out, my mother and I moved to South Wales where I grew up. I married a local boy and moved to Scotland for two years, then onto Essex where I ran a horse livery yard for twenty-five years with both daughters competing at local and national levels ending up with our horse Maitland Folly winning three years’ championships at the Royal International Horse Show. My husband was a principle Electrical Engineer for the then Eastern Electric board working with the high voltage network.
On retiring we moved to Suffolk and spent some time in the USA and then onto Norfolk. My youngest daughter and I moved to Weeting in 2010 and started the WASPs also known as Weeting All Star Performers, a drama group which puts on two shows a year. Our members are from all walks of life from 10yrs to over that certain age. We have fun and hopefully give a lot of fun to our audiences. I have made many friends here in Weeting and now having joined the Parish Council I will do my very best for all my friends and neighbours.
